Oklahoma Sees Slight Increase in Traffic Fatalities in February

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety reports that the number of traffic fatalities in the state rose slightly in February.

DPS says that 33 people were killed in auto accidents in February 2013 – up by two from the 31 killed in collisions in February 2012.

Despite the slight monthly increase – the number of traffic fatalities for 2013 thus far is down sharply from last year.

The department says 120 people have died on Oklahoma roadways as of Sunday compared to 156 traffic fatalities on the same date in 2012.
