Authorities suspect arson in a fire that damaged four classrooms in a former Oklahoma City high school building.
Fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland says arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire Saturday at the empty John Marshall High School building. The Oklahoman reports that utilities to the building had been shut off.
The school was built in 1945. District spokeswoman Kathleen Kennedy says Oklahoma City Public Schools is in the process of selling the school, which would then be torn down.
Kennedy says a pending offer is on hold as the city council decides whether to rezone the property as residential.
