    No surprise here. Plaintiff lawyers are always on the lookout for an opportunity to belly up to the trough. People need to realize that while the attorney may get a higher “gross settlement”, the “net” amount will be significantly lower. The net result; less money for honest claimants. Think about it. Almost 50% of settlement money goes to the attorney for basically doing nothing. They sure add value to our society don’t they? Legitimate claims get paid. Questionable claims don’t.
