While I would generally applaud such reform, I do submit that the cap of $250,000 may be a bit thin given those States that did that in the late 1970’s when $250,000 was a lot of money. Given inflation etc, I would submit that $1,000,000 would be fairer in those cases where the Non-economic loss” is severe as would exist with the loss of limbs, eyes, Brain Damage etc.
