Old agents like me remember the dark days of the late 80’s and early 90’s when there was no direct market for WC and the “Assigned Risk Pool” was the only place we could go. I am a victim of the Work Comp system of Texas. The company That I have worked for in the last 35-years has made it a practice to not turn in work comp injuries in the last 22-years. I was fired on 9-30-2009 for reporting an injury on 3-10-2009. TXU/ONCOR/EFH and TPCIGA and The Liberty Group has caused me a life of sickness and injuries that have been denied and delayed for 22-years on my PCB’s and Chemical exposure claim. I am a victim of Sleep Apnea Vision Changes, Amnesic Disorder, Brain Damage,Diabetes,Hypertension , Liver Disorder, my pancreas makes no Insulin.I am on a load of medications and TPCIGA has not paid a penny on my 22-year claim. I am taking more meds than a friend that was expoused to agent orange. I have reported five back injuries to TXU/ONCOR/EFH in my 35-years of work.I have nerver had an impairment rating. Doctors have told me that you have been robbed. I reported a 9-16-2008 injury to my bosses at TXU/ONCOR/EFH and I was told to use an old back injury date. Now that I have been fired Liberty and my exemployer are blocking my right to have surgery on my lower back.I have had three back Doctors to say that I need back surgery. The reason injuries are not being reported is because injured workers fear the loss of their job. The system is too soft on employers and big work comp carries because they are protected by a system that has allowed lobbist and big money treat injured workers like SLAVES. GOD KNOWS ALL.
