The article is not about bad drivers. It’s about the state of Texas roads and highways as relates to being “drivable”. As for Houston not being in the loop? Either The Hartford does not consider Houston as a market in which it cares to grow or they already have the information for Houston. Or…as usual…Poor Houston.

Texas drivers would’t know a bad driver if they saw that person. The worst drivers ever seen in my life are here in Houston. My description of them is that they are all NASCAR Wannabees. The morons who wrote this article should visit Houston, drive for a week in our famous rush hour traffic morning and night for two weeks. They would return to their nice warm offices with fear in their eyes, a churning stomach, and very high blood pressure. Please invite them to read the recent Houston Chronicle article regarding the number of fatal accidents in Houston over the past two years. They should read that article, come and experience reality, then go home and be very, very quiet.

why wouldn’t they include Houston as it is the largest city in the state – and the most congested? Make no sense to me.

1,611 FATAL ACCIDENTS IN HARRIS AND ADJACENT COUNTIES FROM 2006 THROUGH 2008. 1,762 PEOPLE WERE KILLED; 299 OF THOSE KILLED WERE PEDESTRIANS; 132 INVOLVED A HIT AND RUN; 584 INVOLVED DRIVING WHILE DRUNK OR HIGH. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A SAFE PLACE TO DRIVE? WHO ISN’T GETTING THE WORD?
