    they should have used a second cocktail napkin when Boone and his jock buddies were penciling out the numbers on this deal. they should have considered the “too good to be true” adage a little more. I hope they get kicked in the teeth with their lawsuit.

    When did they name the stadiuim after T. Boone? Boone was thinking I am going to get a football stadium named after me for a crummy $10 mil. Some suede shoed life peddler was thinking this cowboy fell off the hay truck yesterday. The life company better keep the trial out of Stillwater. This is serious stuff.

    I am pretty sure Boone Pickens has given a heck of a lot more than $10 million to OSU.

    Can anyone shed light on what they were thinking? Life insurance policies as an investment strategy? I fail to comprehend the idea.

    It also seems difficult to believe the school’s claims that they paid two annual premiums totaling over $32 million without knowing the terms of the contract.

    What a strange story; it will be interesting to see how it develops.
