Just more evidence to support the argument this city doesn’t deserve to be saved. It’s below sea level and throwing billions of taxpayer dollars at it year after year is a waste we can’t afford. It does nothing for the economy and is always looking for handouts. It’s internally corrupt and would eat it’s own given the chance. It’s not a tourist destination and the only point of interest, the Quarter, is decrepit. Turn out the lights on this cesspool.
Agreed. Is a federal aid money sucking hole in the ground. And who lives there? I don’t see any businesses or private citizens knocking down doors to relocate there.

The real solution to resolving the conditions in the city is to flush, hold the handle, and be done with it.
