Who do they think “the government” is? Folks, this is US!!

“Storm victims said they were eager for the government to pay up.”

Next someone will sue “the government” (us)for the oceans rising because this suit is based on land sinking for 300 years proven by data.

    A crock!

When I started handling insurance claims in 1975 people warned me that Lousiana was a _hithole of corruption, greed, and people looking for a handout. It appears nothing has changed. Pardon the Army Corps of Engineers for trying to protect a city that should never have been built or developed. IT’S BELOW FREAKING SEA LEVEL!!!! Nobody could foresee or guarantee the levee system would fail. Those levees worked fine for decades. Everthing wears out and nobody was going to pay to re-engineer the entire system to protect a bunch of inbred hillbillies who lived in crappy home and had little or no source of income. Now the geniuses in the badly flawed court system kick the taxpayers in the stones by allowing these cretins to sue the government. Here’s a deal. They think the last disaster was mis-handled? Wait until the next one when America is bankrupt because of crap like this.

so essentially the court system is finding the existence of that which makes the existance of N.O. possible to be flawed…fine, compensate but bust those dang walls down and flood the cesspool back up to sealevel like it should be. Wouldn’t that be the ‘green’ thing to do?

If ALL of you people who have responded to this blog consider negligence and misappropriation of government monies a wonderful thing, you’re probably working for the insurance or banking industry and living off our taxpayer bailout called TARP! You should just admit it instead of falsely blaming the underprivileged people who live below sea and poverty level. Many of us Americans owe our existance and livelyhood to the City of New Orleans; below sea level or not. A drive down St. Bernard Hwy. past the Chalmette battlefield should show all of you the importance this below sea level area . It confounds me to hear how you all speak of forgetting the people who have the right to question the Corps’ management of the levee system, and condemn them in the same breath because they are now underprivileged. I may also add that the war effort from WWII to the present would not have been as pleasant without the people of St. Bernard and Orleans parish contributions. If you want to blame some one for the bankruptcy of America, then blame those wonderful politicians who bailed out the most corrupt insurance system in the world. The money AIG was given is far and above the tax money spent on katrina in St. Bernard; who did that help? Not me.

Wow! I can’t believe the venom coming from this e-mail. I question where you live? No natural disasters?? No chance of flooding, wildfires, earthquakes, noreasters, tornados and the list goes on. No corruption? I find that hard to believe. Every area of this country has its own albatross. I pray for you to find peace and obliterate the hate that surges through your body.
