Quite obviously after a deep pocket.
But wait…shouldn’t a good portion of this be WC? I believe the helo was provided by the employer.

Assuming they are asserting that the mfg should have made the windshield sufficiently strong enough to withstand the impact of any/all birds possible.

    Lame…

Is the term “accident” still in our vocabulary. Obviously our legal system doesn’t think so. Sometimes thing happen where no one is negligent/at fault. Everytime you get behind the wheel of a car or get into a helicopter you’re assuming a risk. This guy wanted to make the big bucks working on the rig and knew the only way to get there was to fly in. Sikorsky has been a quality manufacturer of choppers for decades and certainly made the windshields to comply with standards. What’s next: an amended complaint against God for creating birds?

i am am a younger brother of a victim of the crash and we didn’t even know what happen threw the company we found out threw the surviver wife my brothers wife.they grew up with each other and i would rather spend all the money in the world to get my big brother back.Hippocrates need to know what we are fighting for ,the company knew there was even a bad fog and bad weather , but yet becouse they wanted money they sent them out anyway to take risk of there jobs and life, most of them with kids like my brother ,who just held his kid for one night, went out because his job demanded it for his sake of his job. OK what if it was the bird they still shouldn’t have sent them out because the fog and the rain but no they still took the dam chance well look what i am left with heart break

It is very sad that your brother died, I am sorry for your loss.

However, how is suing the helicopter mfg going to bring justice to your situation? Maybe the company he worked for, but the mfg? Are you kidding, sounds like the money may help your pain if you are bringing ridiculous lawsuits against parties that are not at fault.

NO DUMB *** !!! they are suing the company for installing A FAULTY windshield !! a bird hitting the windshirld SHOULD NOT have knocked an entire windscreen out!! and believe making the ” Big bucks” , as you say, is DEFINITELY not worth taking my brother’s LIFE, nor the 7 other men that were on that helicopter. are you trying to imply that they desrved to die???? !!!!????
these victoms did not ask to be plunged to their death for doing their job !!! these victoms have FAMILIES that loved them !! have a HEART !!! you ******* !!!! what if it were YOUR FAMILY MEMBER??? you would ANSWERS AND JUSTICE !! this is not the first incident w/ PHI’s helicopters. maybe someone should monitor the maintenance of these aircrafts better so that people lives won’t be at stake !!!!

suit has been brought upon all parties involved. employer, helicopter company and manufacturer of the helicopter and parts. the helicopter went down for A REASON. aircrafts don’t just fall out of the sky for no apparent reason.OBVIOUSLY !! something is WRONG and how many people are going to DIE before measures are taken to CORRECT the situations. the whole siutation could have DEFINITELY been handled in a better way and in a more EMPATHETIC way by the employer. DON’T JUDGE, you don’t know the WHOLE story or what our FAMILIES have been through !!! to you, its a headline story,TO ME AND MY FAMILY AND THE other FAMILIES INVOLVED. we have to deal with the LOSS OF OUR LOVED ONES and that we no longer have them in our lives, and STEVE and HIS FAMILY have to ADJUST TO WAY OF LIFE !!! MENDING the pieces of his body back together because someone didn’t take the time and install a windshield properly !! BIG BUCKS ?? my brother never saw them, I don’t know what you’re talking about…but wherever they are. i am sure all these families will agree.not a miliion dollars is worth what we’ve been through !!

you really think that will solve my problems no when in my comment did i say i was getting any of the money i don’t care i just want justice to be brought and the prevention of anyone else losing there family members the company should have been more professional and did a theral inspection of the helicopter and gave the hundred percent ok to let the flight take off so you really need to read into **** you either heard or read before leave another comment i love and miss my brother he was every thing to me i always followed him so when you loose someone like that and people try bringing down the justice he deserves then you will under stand what me and me and my sister are trying to get at
