I own a worthless piece of paper (consumer fraud). With the new policy limitations, they aren’t saying this, however hurricanes are really no longer covered. I feel that if the insurance companies are setting things up to remove hurricanes from policies then they should have to offer coverage through a special hurricane policy (as for as I know hurricane a policy doesn’t exist).

Lastly, from what I hear Allstate has the highest hurricane deductible at 5%. Most other companies are 2 to 3%. I was told by an Allstate representative that this is a large discrepancy that consumers should ask be investigated.
