USAA Responding to Hurricane Gustav in Louisiana

    Sitting here in Houma and it’s almost a month now. I did see an adjuster 2 weeks ago, but USAA won’t tell me anything other than they’ll get to the claim when they do??? They refuse to even give me a “window” time frame. I’m just so disappointed, I expected much better. My family and neighbors have already received funds to replace their roofs…we are having to do it all on credit (after losing 4 weeks of pay due to the hurricane) and stressing about what we will be able to recoup. I feel totally abandoned by them, after 10 years of loyalty, I expected better service. At the very least, some communication and reassurance, they won’t tell me anything. Just that I should check their website and read that my claim is “in progress”. After 4 weeks of seeing that, it means absolutely nothing!
