If this article is true, off the cuff, I feel like something really smells. I mean really!

The TWIA rates are not inconsequential like the Flood rates. We are talking about an average of a grand per personal lines policy. Commercial rates don’t get any easier. Edouard was nothing but rain. Dolly hit a part of Texas where you have to search for consequential man-made construction. Cow patties from the King Ranch have to out number all human inhabitants by 10 to 1.

And, the TWIA and TCAIS is telling us the pool is now out of money? Somebody is funnelling some money to places it does NOT belong, then. Who’s watching what is happening here?

Seriously? Carriers have been assessed this hurricane season? Ridiculous has risen to a whole new level, folks.

    Wait until something serious happens.

I think there is some major spin-making taking place in the hopes of getting the Federal Government involved in yet another area our founders never dreamed.

It’s real simple …if you can’t afford standard insurance rates to cover your exposure, to friggin’ bad. Don’t build there. For the Government to subsidize this is ridiculous at best.

The sheep are being herded, and nobody seems to care. Big Brother is going to get it’s way, and there won’t be anyone with enough common sense to even perceive the wrong that’s been done to them.

    Out…
