I worked for a cat company that processed 30,000 Katrina Citizens claims. Bankers, First Prem. and MacNeill all had different requirements. Adjusters were working hundreds of claims trying to help as many as possible. There was no one being tolerant. It was a zoo from the beginning. Mr. Gisleson’s head must have been someplace other than his sholder for him to make this statement.

You got that right – we handled lots of Katrina claims and those people were desperate -understandably.

What I don’t understand is why there were such problems to begin with – running an insurance company is neither rocket science nor “bleeding edge” technology. There are HUNDREDS of P&C companies out there who somehow manage to get it right.

In Louisiana it seems like one has to be either incompetent or corrupt – and sometimes both at once.

I thought if the government handled your insurance, it would be cheaper and better, Barack, Hillary?
