I honestly wonder how much we (the older set) were exposed to when we were growing up. I believe we’ve been receiving imported fruits and vegetables from Central and South America for a very long time. Bananas come to mind. As for toys, as far back as I can remember, many were “Made in Japan.”

I also wonder if there is a concerted effort to diminish our faith in our private market. It could be a path to socialism. In my mind, you loose faith in private markets and count on your government to protect you (heaven forbid).

I wonder also. Back when sunshine was healthy, mosquito spray (insecticide) was spread over kids in bed, lead pencils (real lead), red meat built your blood,
the four food groups, and there were no growth hormones in food.
At that time, people were smaller. An obese child was unheard of unless there was a medical condition. I believe that despite the poisons we were exposed to, we were healthier as a whole then than we are now. I wonder why?

well, it’s not the candy itself that has lead – just the container! since when do we eat the container? or forget, you might give that to a child whom sucks on toys that might have had lead based paint. so is mexico and china in this together? i wonder!

THIS is candy??? a sweet dark reddish brown paste… don’t have to worry about Americans getting sick, I don’t think we’re dumb enough to consider any kind of “paste” a candy. So that being said, let the mexicans eat it all they want.
