This is true insurers work to conspire to low ball claims lets look at Northridge earth quakes and what Allstate and others did back then, nothing new same old tricks and tactics, reworking engineers reports, and meetings that insurers have at the PLRB with arms length experts that show groups of the insurers how to employ tactics to low ball claims and or confuse people on coverages and scheme of ways to place so so amny steps and road blocks in the way to get paid, repeal and ammend the anti trade laws and lets see how long they last, in fair game like the rest. Its not like the insurance indusrty is near broke……

Our promise to pay is all we have to sell people. If the public’s confidence in that promise goes away, so do we. Right, wrong, or just some trial lawyer trying to get rich; as a consumer I feel a little less confident today, don’t you?

MELANIE WROTE ‘Its not like the insurance indusrty is near broke……’

She fixed the caps lock on her keyboard, so her signature trademark is absent, but not her unmistakeable lack of common sense. Well Melanie, the insurance industry is near broke in some markets. Once again, that is why they are leaving coastal markets. In fact, some states are actually using tax dollars to fill the void but actually paying private insurers to offer a market (Louisiana and the grant money giveaway). I wonder why a guy who is leaving office would say such inflammatory things about those who offer to protect life and property in his own state. One, the citizens need property insurance. It might be the wrong time to be slandering the insurers who citizens now need more than ever. It is as if numbskulls like him have forgotten that all of us doing business is voluntary by all of us. Second, if his inflammatory remarks are found untrue, I suppose he could be sued into tomorrow. Rightfully. Yelling this crap about insurers at this juncture is like yelling fire in a crowded theater. It is definitely NOT THE TIME to further confuse property owners and insureds.
Collusion? Because some of them may or may not use a common claims settling tool?
Gee – I bet they all use microsoft word too. Unbelievable.

    Gill,

You forgot another important part. The insurance industry is not here to make a profit. We should just break even! I mean, I don’t really need my salary….

And I am sure the elaborate price fixing scheme is so elaborate they will never figure it out. Of course, that doesn’t mean it isn’t there!!!!
