Is the state making interest on the money they haven’t spent yet? Why take so long to get it distributed?
The quote ” I think the vast majority of Texans would rather get it right than get it quick” is a bunch of bull. I can just bet that there are people in Texas saying “well it’s been two years and I am still living in a trailer that my wife and 5 kinds can’t fit into, but at least the money the stat got to build my home is being used correctly, not quickly.”
Politicians and bureaucrats make me crazy with how self righteous & self improtant they are.

So the state can delay all they want, but insurance companies get ripped for “not responding fast enough.”
