I live in Houston, grew up in the area being targeted & moved away many years ago due to the increased population of non-English speaking residents. Unless they plan to print these signs in Spanish I doubt the majority of the business & residents will understand their meaning.

Another thing is that I seriously doubt that people are coming from other areas to pillage here, as it is the low to no income people living on our welfare system who have plenty of time to stake out & vandalize since they are not out working or actively seeking employment.

If the City of Houston & HPD really want to make an impact on the crime in this area, bring in INS & Border Patrol & place them alternately on every other block along with DEA, VICE & HPD cruisers. This will make the area look like a ghost town as long as there is a presence of authority, but as soon as they leave for lunch or shift change there will be increased activity again.

This area of Houston was once a close-in to downtown, great place to live, but because of all the illegal immigrants & the crime that comes with their influx, it’s like Mexico.

So, for all you folks thinking that you are impressing people with the things you are doing by posting the signs, get real, those that know the area already lock everything up tight when they are in it!!!

For those of you that do not know the area, do not be miss-lead by their actions of putting up signs. I would have to conclude that quite possibly someone on the City Council has a family member in the sign making business & is getting a good chunk of change for making the signs & it’s our tax dollars paying the salaries of those actually going out to post them, wasted money that could be used to pay for additional patrols in the area, as it is common knowledge that with visibility of law enforcement in any area there are less crimes actually occurring.

Take a reality pill Mr. Mayor & do something that will really help the legal & native citizens living here!
