I have to say not going to jail is in my top ten – but not my number 1 priority.

Sounds like big stick time. Get Jack. (Welch of GE fame).

Whoa, former commissioner Wooley says his number one priority was to not go to jail? How about your number 1 priority being to an efficient, effective and modern regulatory agency that helps build a healthy insurance market in your state?

Does anyone still wonder why Louisiana is such a total dump?

Not going to jail is a priority for most folks…. but this just stinks.

I don’t think these fine folks have yet to balance the books….. a problem since before Katrina.

I think we should build the wall in Texas on the Louisiana border, not Mexico.

This is unbelievable! When will it ever stop? It’s the typical fingerpointing at others when no one provides oversight. You would think that by this time the State would have learned something to PREVENT these things from occurring over and over again. Any wonder the Federal taxpayers from other states are reluctant to want to entertain coming to Louisiana’s rescue when it needs help! I’m from Louisiana but now live in Texas. Thank God!

    I totally agree, Fedup

Now that I’m also living in another state with less cat exposure, I can visit my hometown, eat the wonderful food, dance in the Quarter and then turn my back and LEAVE. I love my family there but if and when things get right (YEAH RIGHT!) then I’ll look into rebuilding. Until then, I am loving the low homeowners and car insurance rates somewhere else.

What a shame. It really doesnt matter if he goes to jail or not. The fact that he is a lawyer is to his advantage. The good news is , Enron like tactics and circumstances. I dont think he escapes anything. What the committees ought to look into is whos claims from Rita and Katrina did the company pay on his watch.
I think that will be where the real can of worms is and will make his expense accounts look very small indeed. It really is whether they have the back bone to open up that mine field . I personally hope he gets whats coming to him whatever that might be and is judged as anyone else might be in our State. The 5th amendment is a real bad start. Its like watching Michael Coleone on the God father. Ought to be interesting indeed.
