Southwestern Insurance Information Service announced their 54th Annual Educational Conference will be held June 26-27, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Addison, Texas.
Kicking off the meeting at a dinner the evening of June 26 will be Joe Bastardi, chief meteorologist with AccuWeather and a frequent guest on radio and television stations across North America.
The program for the morning of June 27 will consist of Brooke Rollins, president, Texas Public Policy Foundation; Texas Insurance Commissioner Mike Geeslin; Texas Workers’ Compensation Division Commissioner Albert Betts, Jr.; and Joe Annotti, senior vice president, Property Casualty Insurance Association of America. The Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams is the keynote luncheon speaker.
The afternoon program will feature a panel of reinsurers from the U. S. and U. K. consisting of Steven Hartman, director, working casualty, Arch Reinsurance; John Hamblin, underwriter, Cathedral Capital, Dennis Burke, vice president, Reinsurance Association of America; and the moderator will be David Sommer, president, Germania Insurance.
The day will conclude with a panel including Fred Bosse, regional vice president, American Insurance Association; Jim Oliver, general Manager, Texas Windstorm Insurance Association and Texas FAIR Plan Association; Joe Woods, assistant vice president, Property Casualty Insurance Association of America; Lee Loftis governmental affairs director, Independent Insurance Agents of Texas and moderated by James Langford, vice president, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies.
The program offers 4.5 hours of TDI Continuing Education Credit and 1 hour of State Bar of Texas MCLE credit.
