Corruption and moral turpitude in the ranks of Louisiana law enforcement!Who would have thunk it! I bet former Shreveport Police Chief George D\’Artois is rolling in his grave, or the beach in Rio, where ever he is now located.
We should not \”judge\” this person so harshly; he was probably still traumatized by Hurricane Katrina and the lack of response from FEMA. Ultimately, he should blame President Bush for making him do it; everyone else down there has…
What makes police officers think they are above the law? This is not the first or last time we\’ll see this happen. It most likely happen in all 50 states. Like Horrace Gump said, \”It Happens!\”
At one point I had a client to call me and ask me to write an app with the wrong time on it. He had a recent accident. I told him \”he would\’nt want me to do that since that would make me dishonest…and he would\’nt want to do business with a dishonest person.\”
In another case I had a police officer investigate his own accident. I told the party involved to call the Sheriff and report the incident and it was promply handled. A lot of things are handled very well in Louisiana, thank you!
and guards in concentration camps were \”just following orders\” when they killed jews. I\’ve been a claim adjuster 17 years and always watch out for the \”4 P\’s\” the folks who will cheat you the fastest – police, preachers, politicians and physicians!
Indeed, you gotta love a state that has its law enforcement seeking ethical advice from an insurance agent…..
Years ago, Gov Edwin Edwards was running for re-election, and a female reporter from the WSJ asked him \”why people from Louisiana should vote foran ex-governor that has been indicted by a federal grand jury on corruption charges.\”
Edwin smiled and said: \”Cher, the only way folks from Louisiana won\’t vote for me is if they find me in bed with a dead girl or a live boy\”.
And he was re-elected….. (though currently in a federal slammer)
Lighten up, jeff! I\’m a preacher, from Shreveport. My car was stolen while I was in seminary. Five days later, the police called, and I went over it with a claims adjuster (in Florida, we have learned to beware of claims adjusters). After writing it all down, he said that in his time as a ca, no one from my company, USAA, had ever tried to claim something that was already there, and he could tell the difference.

Sounds like a personal problem, maybe you should consult a doctor instead of a blog…
