Mr. Hernandez is doing business as Universal Roofing and Contractor, LLC. License No. ABA 36067049K. Mr. Hernandez signed a contract with me in October, 2005 and promised to have my house ready in December. He has received over $30,000 from me and has done very poor workmanship. I had an inspector with the City to come and inspect my house and it did not pass the inspection. However, he is not willing to correct the work. He doesn\’t see anything wrong. He has breached the contract and I have not seen him since I brought this to his attention. He is very arrogant. I also have two other people he has done this to as well.
Sir you can contact an attorney and the State Board of Contractors and file a complaint. They are handing out stiff fines and there is a fund that is being set up to help folks with contractor fraud. Additionally, Steve Ladner is still working as a contractor using someone else’s license even after being fined by the La. State Board of Contractor and facing a trial for theft by fraud. Harry Korczynski is still wanted by the police and is on the run.
