\”A poll released last year by the Florida coalition, Hurricane Survival Initiative, revealed that 40 percent of the respondents believed flood damage was covered by their homeowners policy,\” she said. If we were to survey Texas homeowners we predict that number would be about the same, she advised.
NOT TRUE â€â€Ŕ FOR OE THING, TEXANS CAN COUNT & WE KNOW THAT FLOOD IS NOT A COVERED PERIL â€â€Ŕ IF ANYONE IN TEXAS DOES NOT KNOW THIS IT’S BECAUSE THEY EITHER MOVED FROM ANOTHER STATE (perhaps FL) OR THEY DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO NEWS OR THEIR POLICIES (perhaps FL)…
I think that Texans do know, some like to play ignorant & some really are, but for the most part I think people that buy insurance actually read through to see what is covered & if they do not, well, they fall into the ignorant category weather they are playing or not!
I think the FL people know too, but it\’s easier to claim ignorance & ask for a re-count & get FEMA to help pay for your own loss that they failed to prepare for.
