The income tax on Business is being raised, but there is no cut for property owners. By the time 2008 comes around the prperty tax increases of the next two years will more than wipe out the cut for that year. In 2008 your property taxes after the cut will still be higher than today & will keep increasing. We need some type of cap on property taxes.

I believe you are correct. As a small business owner and a property owner I recognize that the proposed cuts to property owners is joke. Rates and values will continue to increase until 2008. I believe that the sate and the school districts will find ways to continue to increase rates ater the cut and that within a few years after that the property owners will be right back where they werea and the business owners will stil be paying the new tax.

As a small business owner I will need to increse my service rates to all customers who will in turn need to increase their cost of goods to their customers. With the small profit margins for my type of business this tax must be passed on to my customers through higher rates.

The entire concept that we should rob Peter to pay Paul is ridiculous. If we would stop free education and health care for illegal immigrants or at least get them to pay a portion of their fair share of such costs we could either reduce the cost or increase the revenue.

I further believe that the federal and state governments as well as the schools are wasting a lot of time and money on the TAKS testing and other similar programs. Our government and education systems have figured out a way to educate our students to pass a test. However, they still haven\’t figured out how to educate the student. My belief is simple! If you educate the students they can pass the test. STOP teaching the students to pass the test! Simply give them knowledge.

Our school districts have gone overboard with facilities. We continue to build massive monuments to our education system without educating. Our schools can be comfortable learning centers without the high price of overindulgent beauty.
