What a shame is that Jeff just wants to sit and dog Wooley. Of the past four commissioners, Wooley is the only one that didn\’t take any S _ _ T!!!!!! I had a chance to work very closely with him and had a good friend in his administration. In the past 20 years, I have never heard of any Commissioner spoke of in a positive contex as I have of Wooley. I regret to see him go, but am very confident that Donelon will perform at the same level if not better than his predecessor. Same on you Jeff for the negative comment.

Pretty soon , good people will not run for any political office, it\’s not worth it as good people have something to lose.
    I dread the alternative………..

It is a shame he was even there in the first place. I look forward to the alternative.

If memory serves, haven\’t two former LA COIs ended up in prison?

    Who\’d want THAT job?

We\’re going through the same thing right now in OK and it\’s an embarrassment.

The shame is the history of the Dept of Ins. and the former commissioners who betrayed the public\’s trust. Comm. Wooley did an excellent job of restoring confidence in the Dept. by insisting on the fair and ethical treatment of the consumer, the professional agent and the companies they served. I wish him well and hope his successor is dedicated to the job and to the public.

Having briefly met the Commissioner in London last month, he gives the impression that he was a reluctant politician and his aim was to be fair and open to all. He expressed the desire to have an open commercial market that grew through professionalism and market forces instead of protectionist pork belly politics. Here is a Civil Servant who is both Civil and a Servant of his principals.

You are correct, Donelon is much better qualified and should do a much better job without all the other stuff that wooley was into

Its ashame to lose an Insurance Commissioner who has done an Honest Job and one who will not end up on Trial or in Jail like the Previous LA Insurance Commissioners.
Thanks Mr. Wooley for your services.
