What a wonderful idea – and I am not being sarcastic. Gray Lines is giving tours of not only the disaster but the basic economy of the area. It is a good step in the process of bringing tourism back to New Orleans and tourism was vital to the city. On top of that, Gray Lines is giving almost 10% of their gross income from these tours to help in recovery of the area. Bravo to Gray Lines.

An Excellent Idea! Informative, entertaining and the contributions are very generous to continue to help those devastated by this rare natural disaster.

I can\’t say that I think this is a good idea. From my experience with 3 major hurricanes directly impacting my area, the devestation was unbearable and took my breath away every time I heard about damages sustained by friends, family and neighbors. By giving tours of the effects of this disaster, it\’s almost like saying to all the people affected by this, \”Your great and lifechanging loss is our gain in profits. We will now make a fortune on your newly acquired poverty and misfortune! Sorry for your loss, here\’s a measly $3 for every $28 or $35 that we make.\”

This company is turning these people\’s lives into a show and on top of that, making money!! I think it\’s shameful and a slap in the face to all that were affected by this disaster!

Imagine picking up what remains you have left on the ground, under piles of trash and destruction, and then you look up and see a tour bus showcasing your losses. I would probably grab the closes object to me that I could pick up and throw it at the bus. Sorry if I seem a little emotional and sensitive to this, but after being part of the affected area, this seems outrageous!

Sorry South Florida resident. Here is a perfect opportunity to educate people on how not building homes to a more stringent code is a recipe for disaster; how our immortality can be accelerated if we do not evacuate from storms that can cause such devastation. Nobody is sensationalizing the loss- you are extremely selfish to hold that view. Not like Gray Line will be making millions of dollars off this loss- in fact, they will be employing people and growing an economy that has been devastated by an enormous loss. Not to be insensitive to your and others losses but there is a greater good to society.
