You say an increase in benefit payments of 12%??

I am currently on SIBS, will this affect me?

I am a single Mom with children. TWCC was no help at all in my case. I used the Ombudsman and she was no help. TX Mutual Insurance and TWCC were buddies from previous days before TX Mutual went private. I couldn’t tell who was who, including the Judge in the Contested Case. Nobody was on my side. They covered my foot and ankle, but not my back. I fell at work on cracked/broken flooring. I need surgery on my back because of ruptured disks from the fall and don’t have the money to do it. I have lived with the pain and disability for over 4 years. What can I do? TX Mutual Insurance and my employer are very proud of the fact that I was denied full coverage. I have to live with it for the rest of my life, because I was too naiive and trusting that they would do the right thing and I didn’t want to be confrontational. I have a much different perspective now – pain, anger and disillusionment in the whole system. I have stayed at the same company, but they have made my life miserable and have demoted me a number of times. I have been so tempted to quit so many times, but I am a single Mom with one income and I need a job. I joined FIXTWCC and I’m glad that hopefully the future looks better for others dealing with work injuries, but I am dismayed for me and my children. What hope do I have for our future. My pain and hardship only gets worse.
