It is about time and I hope it goes through and every other state follows suit. There are plenty of fast food restaurants needing help to employ the out of work thieves aka the attorneys who will be out of business if this kind of common sense thinking continues.

Good for the Oklahoma Senate. Hopefully, this will become law in OK and every state. It’s time for the legal extortion to end.

Don’t celebrate yet. The Oklahoma House, which passed this reform, has a Republican majority. The Oklahoma senate, filled with trial lawyer-legislators, has a Democratic majority. The Democratic leader of the Senate was the lawyer who was chided in a New York Times article for inviting Texas lawyers, stung by tort reform south of the border, to come to “friendly” Oklahoma to file their lawsuits.
