This only helps the insurace companys take over the control of the injured worker, thus allowing them (the insurace company) more ways to cut benifits. The problem is that the insurance companys are jacking up the price of the insurace coverage and than lowering the benifits. Injured workers in Oklahoma wait over a year in most cases just to have a MRI or medical treatment given and no paid benifits. Most injured workers are not given benifits or medical treatment for years. I can say that I have audio taped two court apt IME’s that have than lied in medical reports and to the court. This is a common problem. Insurance companys are not being held accountable for the provider fraud. This system is not working. We should Do away with it. Injured workers should be allowed to choose their own doctor and the courts should abide by that doctor. It’s their bodies. Insurance companys should not be allowed to practice medicine with out a license. I have been injured for 18 months I have had no medical treatment or benifits. I am one of many. I have court orders. But yet I still wait. Most injured workers are living off of TAX PAYERS MONEY. Because insurance compays are not providing benifits. This affects bussiness when people can’t pay there bills. It effects state bugets, because i DHS, Medicare and SSDI/SSD now have to foot the bill. The insurance companys have yet to prove all this fraud that they say is costing tax payers and bussiness owners. I don’t buy it. If they would provide the medical treatment to the injured in a time frame or pay HIGH fines when they don’t, than we would see a more postive outcome. As it is Doctors are overiden by by insurace adjusters that have no medical training and can practice medicine in this state without a license. Injured workers are costing the state money because the insurance companys don’t want to pay. Doctors Should be the ones practicing medicine. A broken arm in the workmans comp system is not the same as a broken arm in the real world.
