The inmates are now running the asylum. In Washington state, possession of heroin carries less of a penalty than a downtown parking ticket. Police are no longer able to detain persons committing crimes based on suspicion (the standard that is as old as policing itself). And it’s darned hard to send criminals to jail/prison. Do you really think this is going to improve life in this state? This is insanity and it’s an invitation for a Mad Max society. Gee. What could possibly go wrong?
