SCA Appraisal Appoints VP and Asst. VP

SCA Appraisal, a national independent appraisal service, has promoted Nick Napier to vice president of operations and Mark Bewley to assistant vice president of field operations.

Napier is responsible for SCA’s field appraisal operations and product delivery nationally across insurance carriers, third-party administrators, financial services, municipalities and all other clients, the Burbank, Calif.-based company said in a press release.

Napier first became involved with SCA in 2003 as part of the company’s vendor network. Three years later, he joined SCA as an employee. He has been responsible for appraisal quality, audit and franchise operations during his tenure.

Bewley will be responsible for SCA’s national field appraisal operations.

A seven-year veteran of SCA, he brings decades of insurance claims management and field appraisal experience, the company said. Prior to SCA, Bewley was an associate with Metlife for 15 years.

Goldberg Segalla Adds to Workers’ Comp Leadership

Goldberg Segalla partner Esther F. Omoloyin has been appointed as co-chair of the firm’s national workers’ compensation practice. Along with co-chairs Damon M. Gruber and Sean J. McKinley, Omoloyin will manage the firm’s fastest-growing practice, with nearly 120 attorneys practicing in 10 states.

Omoloyin was born in Ibadan, Nigeria before immigrating to the United States. She earned her bachelor of arts degree at Rutgers University Business School and her juris doctor from Rutgers University School of Law. She clerked with the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division before entering private practice.

Omoloyin joined Goldberg Segalla in 2013—she was the firm’s 180th lawyer, its ninth workers’ compensation attorney, and the first workers’ compensation attorney hired in New Jersey, the company said.

As leader of the practice in New Jersey, Omoloyin quickly built a team that expanded to include 10 attorneys dedicated to workers’ compensation based in the firm’s Princeton and Newark offices. She also authored Goldberg Segalla’s New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Manual for Employers and Carriers.

Trawick Appoints Claims Director

Trawick International, a travel insurance carrier based in Fairhope, Ala, appointed Dennis Wood as director of claims.

The appointment is the next step in the organization’s evolution as it continues to enter into new markets and business opportunities, Tarwick said in a press release.

Wood has more than 40 years of experience in claims management, the company said. He previously held senior executive claims positions with Seven Corners, Fremont Comp Insurance and Wausau Insurance Companies. He also spent over three years as a team supervisor with the Indiana Department of Insurance’s Enforcement Division.

Trawick International offers international and domestic travel insurance plans.
