It’s pretty sickening to see how the insurance companies are dragging their feet to deny coverage (even with all risk policies with no virus exclusions) while small businesses are dying. We’ve been paying for business interruption insurance for 36 years and the moment that we make a claim, the insurance companies twist ambiguous language (written intentionally to benefit the insurance company’s argument) to deny a lifeline to keep us and thousands of small businesses open. Soon, there will be no premiums paid to insurance companies because there will be no businesses left to pay for their worthless policies. I wonder what the price will be to insurance company’s bottom line with lost revenue and huge litigation fees? You would think that they would be willing to DO SOMETHING and agree to work with their insureds, and the government to come up with a solution before cherished small businesses die. Like most small business owners that I know, there is no respect for the insurance industry but we know that you don’t give a sh*t as long as you win.
