Crawford Appoints General Counsel

Crawford & Company has promoted Tami Stevenson to senior vice president, global general counsel.

Stevenson will report to Joseph Blanco, who is president of the Atlanta-based claims administrator.

Stevenson assumes the role that Blanco left behind when he was promoted to president in early May. She will be responsible for leading the legal department which includes legal, compliance and securities. In addition, she will support the board in maintaining best practices in governance policies and procedures.

Stevenson has worked for Crawford for 23 years and has held multiple leadership roles, the company said.She served as general counsel for Broadspire, a workers’ compensation third-party administrator owned by Crawford, until January,when she was promoted to deputy general counsel – corporate.

Prior to Crawford, Stevenson held several corporate counsel positions with a focus on workers’ compensation and property casualty law. She served for six years in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

CRU Group Appoints VP for Operations
Bret Peiffer

CRU Group, a London-based firm that provides loss adjusting, claims management and staffing services to property and casualty carriers through a U.S. subsidiary, has hired Bret Peiffer as vice president of operations.

Peiffer is responsible for CRU Group’s operational service delivery and claim support functions delivered by the company’s Central Services Team. He also assumes responsibility for a large client-dedicated team of inside adjusters, the company said in a press release.

Peiffer’s background includes technical, operational and client-facing claims experience, the company said. He previously served as national sales administrator for Sedgwick, the Memphis, Tenn.-based claims administration provider, according to his Linkedin profile. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Peiffer and his family will remain based in Dallas and work from CRU Group’s U.S. headquarters. He will report directly to the U.S. chief executive officer and serve on the U.S. leadership team, the company said.

CoventBridge Group Names General Counsel

CoventBridge Group, an investigative services company based in Jacksonville, Fla., has hired Robin R. Rogers as general counsel.

Rogers reports to Chief Executive Officer Dave Merrill.

Rogers will oversee the company’s global legal, licensing, privacy, and compliance groups while acting as strategic counsel to the executive team. She will also supervise all aspects of the Human Resources department.

Rogers previously was senior legal counsel for The Adecco Group, a position she held for about three years, CoventBridge said. She has held various other roles throughout her career, including counsel; compliance and privacy director at The HCI Group, and attorney at McGlinchey Stafford, where she acted as a secondee at one of the firm’s larger clients.

Rogers is a graduate of the Florida Coastal School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree and from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.

CoventBridge Group’s services include surveillance, special investigations unit management and compliance, claims investigations, counter-fraud programs, desktop investigations, social media, complex international investigations and vendor management programs.

PLNAR Appoints Board Member

PLNAR, an Austin,Texas-based provider of virtual insurance claims products, has appointed Allan C. Robinson III to its board of directors.

Robinson was previously executive vice president of field operations and sales management and chief claims officer for Horace Mann. He led teams of sales leaders, agents, marketing & underwriting representatives and over 350 claims employees. Robinson was also an instrumental leader at Allstate, Hanover and Encompass, PLNAR said in a press release.

PLNARChief Executive Officer Andy Greff said Robinson’s experience and knowledge in claims management will add to the value that the company brings to insurance carriers looking to reduce cost and cycle time.

PLNAR’s platform allows desk adjusters to generate 2D- and 3D-models of interior spaces from a digital photo and streamline the interior claims process for quicker, more efficient settlement.
