“To obtain a driver’s license in the U.S., every person under age 18 must pay for a formal driver’s education class with a minimum of six hours of driving instruction on the road.”

I wonder where the author obtained this information at. In PA, 16 year olds that get their permit have to drive for 6 months before getting their license, but no requirement exists that they must have formal driving instruction. Their parents are usually the ones who are giving the driving instruction.
