Great article. Are you now seeing shifting of liability from the manufacturer to the car purchaser through the use of hold harmless agreements when buying? The owner now fails to hold onto the wheel with both hands (is there sensors to detect) and the autonomous system fails and causes an accident; will this then all be on the vehicle owner? The vehicle can auto park without the owner in the vehicle; is there a hold harmless to the vehicle owner from the manufacturer for systems failures (like perhaps not recognizing a small child right behind the vehicle)?
