No employee wants a traumatic injury. They just want their bills covered until they can return to work. Pushing more of the financial burden to the employee can result in “arm twisting” their Dr. to send them back early, which can result in further injury and time off of work.
This is nothing new. Denial was going on way back to 1987 by the insurer FOR the employer way before legislators added obstructive layers like UR. Much of the prior denials were out right fraud and still is, within the Worker comps system including the worker comp courts and commissions. David Michaels was made privy to that in 2010 at a Human Rights conference and anyone that will do anything to protect the employer will never understand the results of their denials. Injuring workers became a huge industry. That’s an abomination! There are more than 3 million people since 1987, the ones with serious injuries and illnesses and for anyone to make a profit off of injuring a human being is heinous and those involved need to be charged with crimes against humanity. The U.S. isn’t the only country with this particular evil either.

Really? It’s all the employees’ fault again?

Just wondering something: has David Michaels ever worked in the private sector?
