Very interesting article. “after review of telematics data that showed driver 1 was at a complete stop” what type of telematics data captured during a slow-speed parking lot accident with no airbag deployment would enable one to justify this conclusion?

Every telematics device has accelerometer data. You would see a period of acceleration, followed by a deceleration to zero, followed by a period of no acceleration at all, followed by a momentary jolt when the other car hit.

This would match up to the driver’s story and prove the sequence of events.
