    Mike says:
    Like or Dislike:
    Thumb up 1
    Thumb down 0

An additional component of this can also be explained by the success of Uber, Lyft, and the like. A few bucks a couple of times a week versus maybe an extra car in the driveway – plus skyrocketing rates for younger drivers – makes this a slam dunk for both parents and kids. Another “driver” might be the fact that a higher percentage of 20-24 year-olds still live with Mommy and Daddy, and let them continue to chauffeur them around.
