When every right wing commentator and even some GOP presidential candidates give in the old, “there’s no definitive science” and “I’m not a scientist” take on global warming, it’s not surprising.

In the 60’s the mantra from the left was global cooling. The planet is getting colder because of mankind. I guess that didn’t go over so well with most people so now the mantra is just the opposite. It’s simple. Follow the money.

The idea that anyone was pushing a “global cooling” agenda in the 60s or 70s is based on a couple of academic articles that were picked up and hyped for a few months by the media. It was an academic exercise that never developed into anything.

If you do indeed follow the money, it clearly leads to the oil industry.
