I am not that familiar with keyless ignitions, so I don’t understand why failing to turn the vehicle off when you exit to go in the house is any different than when you exit to enter your place of business, or a store, etc. Why wouldn’t you shut the vehicle off when you left it, no matter where you are parking?

I have two (2) Toyota’s with key-less entry. Both of them have and loud alarm to alert you that the car is on when you walk away with the FOB. So unless they have turned the alarm off, are severely hard of hearing, or are in the habit of leaving their keys in the car (which to me is pure negligence and irresponsible); I fail to see how you could leave the car running.

so Ken, you are reinforcing my position. If you turn off your ignition when you have a key, you should do the same when keyless. the driver has that responsibility to make sure the vehicle is not running when she leaves it.
