Subrogation proceedings against a negligent party is one thing. Tracking down injured people down and collecting money from them is quite something else. In many cases, the money received by the injured party is insufficient to pay medical bills, lost income and future medical expenses. To track down these individuals and demand repayment is reprehensible.

If the Rawlings group works for Kaiser, then get the information from Kaiser. I am not obligated to give the Rawlings group any information about my medical information. They send the survey, and I send it back blank. It’s no of their business and if Kaiser is releasing my information to them then Kaiser is wrong. When I go to the doctors they make you do a brief survey when you check in. If you do get the information you need at that time, don’t send me some third party release form asking me my personal business. Especially, when there’s no injury claim. As much as they charge people and companies to have insurance, while people have it for free??? No, I’m not going to help you, Kaiser got back 3.5 billion dollars, I didn’t see a reduction in rates for me, in fact, amount I have to pay went up, so no… not filling out anything from Rawlings company for Kaiser, Blue Cross etc.

Thank you. The idea that it is just fine for health insurers to take the “first dollar” and every dollar after that until the health insurance company has recovered every single penny it has paid out, even if it leaves the innocent victim without a cent, starving, shivering in the cold, dying, could only have come from the son of a preacher man.

The Rawlings Company is completely vile! The will kick you when you’re down, kill your mother and rob her bank account if they could! They want money from those who have none. Pathetic and the definition of harassment! If you get a letter from these people send it back with BS smeared all over it in return.

Truly a despicable way to earn a living; but Rawlings is only the tip of the iceberg, insurance carriers like Blue Shield and Aetna are the real culprits. But at least in the case of insurers they generally paid something out which they are trying to recoup. Kaiser never pays a thing and makes claims for the ‘reasonable value’ of their services. While their services are substandard their so called ‘reasonable value’ is at the highest end of the medical scale

I just got one for my daughter. How did they get her information? This is unconscionable. What should I do? I’ve contacted my congressional representatives but in the meantime? Do you happen to know the exact court case? I’d like to read the dissent. If a buck can be made, who cares who it hurts. So sad.
