I’m quite certain my husband became ill with listeria after eating Blue Bell ice cream. Without much prior warning he became violently I’ll with severe chills and fever. He lost control of his bowels and ruined the mattress and carpet. He couldn’t get himself out of the bathtub and fell trying to make it back to bed. He is 6 ‘6 and it took three grown people to get him off the floor. He couldn’t form a complete thought or sentence for several days. We truly thought he would die! He’s never been that ill in the 22 years we’ve been married! I have the contaminated product in the freezer, but I wasn’t sure with whom to report. We live in New Fairview, TX near the town of Decatur. I purchased the ice cream at the Walmart in Decatur, TX. Thank you.
