Is Ebola Compensable Under Workers’ Compensation?

    The author does not acknowledge that this type of disease is an infectious disease. Such diseases are freely compensable under many state acts, and have been for decades, when medical causation is shown. Under the Pennsylvania Act, for example, Ebola is freely compensable as an infectious disease as long as medical causation is shown. The worker doesn’t have to fit the malady in under an occupational disease scheme.
