Weather Channel Says Public Safety at Heart of Contract Dispute

    I’m not sure how public safety is being compromised by losing a channel that gives winter storms cute names that aren’t recognized by any authority and reality TV like Prospectors and Freaks of Nature. Maybe in the old days it was a bit more relevant, you know, when they actually showed weather, educated the public, and they were the only game in town. Now we can check the internet, smartphones, etc whenever we need weather info. They do for weather now what MTV does for music…nothing.

    I agree, if I turned on the Weather Channel and actually saw weather informtion it would be a different story. I now get my weather information from a different source. I couldn’t even tell you what channel the weather channel is…
