Should Insurers Consider Apologies in Claims Handling?

    Wow! Now that’s a non-sense statement if I’ve ever heard one. Oh, sorry about running you over, I understand you can’t work for the rest of your life but I’m sure you’re ok with an apology.

    True empathy for what the other party has experienced is a definite plus. When both parties are validated, they are more capable of sitting down together and negotiating in a reasonable manner. Common courtesy alone goes a long way in mitigating the cost of claims.
