    Shouldn’t every State abide by the contract? Isn’t that why we have laws in our country – to abide by contracts?

    Homeowners should not have to pay hurricane deductibles …. ….so what’s next, homeowners should not have to pay premiums? This is clearly a case of folks with 4-story beach front homes wanting a subsidy from others. Get over it!

    Policy excess is applicable for insured peril.

    My understanding was that by the time it hit the shores of Jersey, MD & NY, it was no longer a hurricane, but a tropical storm and that is why they are making this statemnet.
