The insurance industry will surely feel the pain of a $40-60 billion loss between the loss of income and the property damages as well as the liability we should not overlook. I live in downtown JC NJ. I can not tell you the complete devastation that occurred. There are countless autos which are totaled from water damage many who have flood coverage. Many homeowners have flood coverage while FEMA will pay there fair share in losses. The NJ insurance market will surely harden from this loss. I am curious to see how the NJ shore recovers.
