What about volcanic activity? Is it possible that the artic is melting because of volcanic activity. An experiment for you. Put a pot of water on the stove turn it on. Set another pot in the hottest sunniest spot you can find. See which one boils first. Or rather which one never boils. Could the factors melting the ice be coming from underneath rather than above. Not affecting the Antarctic ice as much because it is mostly on land.
