Gang….Keep an eye on the Theater’s liability for not properly supervising the exit doors…I’ve seen kids open those doors and let in friends waiting in the alleyways behind the theater…Always wondered why those doors were not alarmed as I’ve seen in other locations…OH WELL…Don’t worry the plaintiff’s Bar won’t leap out of the bushes until after the funerals. MAY GOD BLESS THE DEAD & WOUNDED.

Agree w/KMD’s liability assessment. If the theatre is idependently owned, it’s liability limits are already gone. I don’t any liability on the producers even though they’re deep pockets. They have no negligence and shouldn’t be forced to pay anything.

The thing that I find unpalatable is our legal system’s response. When someone makes the decison to disregard the laws of society, that person should forfeit his/her rights and protections that society provides. The motive is irrelevant. His mental statee is irrelevant. He took innocent lives and maimed dozens. He planned it out carefully with full premeditation. Now the public has to pay for not one, but two public defenders. There will no doubt be a lengthy legal process. There should be no question about the penalty. The need for a trial is a charade. This was a defective piece of human garbage that should not have been taken alive. That’s the only mistake the police made that day. Remember the Ft. Hood massacre? Ever hear any more about that perp? The public is still paying to house & feed him and there’s been nothing about a trial.
