This in addition to the Volt. Amazing what government motors can create. Oh and now we find out Peugeot their part owner is being used to sell cars to Iran and circumvent the trade embargo. Feel good about the bailout yet?

Typical of American car makers. They rush to market with an inferior design to win back customers and make money. This is precisely why foreign engineered cars beat them hands down every time. Note they aren’t “foreign cars” anymore. Most of them are manufactured here in the USA. It’s the design and engineering that’s foreign. What’s the best the Americans can do? Bring back the old re-tread muscle car designs. An now the latest joke, the Cruze. Why would they design an engine with the oil filter directly above a hot plate? And why could tranny fluid end up on the hot plate? And why should the tranny leak in the first place?

Here’s my concern too……they are going to cut the plastic and allow OIL and other engine fluids to drain on the GROUND! There are a number of states that count any oil on the ground as a reason to call the EPA. Numbskulls

The EPA won’t touch GM, alias Government Motors. Now if it was Toyota having this problem, well now, that would be a different story, wouldn’t it? These things are no better than the Cavalier/Cobalt they replaced.

Why recall, just have the consumer cut the plastic themselves…LOL! What a bunch of idiots.
